Concert is the part of "Voices for the Hospices", organized around 14th October, the World Day for Palliative Care and Hospice. Magda Umer, Piotr Machalica and Grzegorz Małecki will be the stars of the evening in the Polish Baltic Philharmonic, who will remind the songs of the well known Polish cabaret. It is organised for the rev. E. Dutkiewicz SAC Hospice patients, in Gdansk. The Hospice Foundation manages the rev. E. Dutkiewicz SAC Hospice in Gdansk with over 30- year history. It takes care of about 1,000 patients a year. Assistance is provided both to adults and 40 incurable and chronically ill children. An interdisciplinary team of specialists, including: doctors, nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists and volunteers take care of patients every day. Other Foundation projects are: social and psychological help for orphans, education, publishing and the volunteering development. For 14 years the Foundation also has been organizing social campaigns "Hospice is Life, too", which aims to raise public awareness about the various aspects of caring for people at the end of their lives. The concert opens the campaign "Hospice is also Life" all over Poland.
