Rachel House – palliative care for Indonesian Children

Rachel House, the first paediatric palliative home care service in Indonesia, helping kids living with cancer and HIV, celebrates its 10th anniversary in October. We would not want to mark that anniversary in any other way than to make sure we keep going the extra mile to raise awareness about the need for palliative care, and paediatric palliative care for children of disadvantaged backgrounds in Indonesia in particular. At Rachel House our vision is “To never see a child live or die in pain”. Our goal is to help ensure palliative care is available for all Indonesian children living with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, enabling them to live with joy and dignity in a loving environment. So expect us to jump aboard the World Hospice & Palliative Care Day 2016 movement and passionately help spread the message that “Living and Dying in Pain Does not Need to Happen”, because we could not agree more!

You can check out our World Day news on Facebook or Instagram at @rachelhouseindonesia, and Twitter @rachelhouseindo. And if you want to honour World Hospice & Palliative Care Day 2016 and Rachel House’s 10thanniversary by donating to Rachel house, please check the options on http://rachel-house.org/get-involved/donate/. All donations are appreciated and funds raised do directly to bringing palliative care to Indonesians who need it.
