Photo exhibition “Bridges of Dreams"

Event Date

Tuesday, 01 October 2019

Swinging, swimming, jumping, playing in the rain, flying kites ... it seems like a natural, integral part of childhood activities that delights the little ones and dreams of every parent or relative. However, for many of these families, dreams come crashing down when they learn that the baby is suffering from a serious illness. Both we and Angela are convinced - Everything is possible! At the end of May, Angela was visiting Latvia to photograph 11 families of terminally ill children. To show that every baby is beautiful, beloved, to see the message he brings to this world - is the message of Angela through these works of art. Angela Forker conjures up touching scenes in which the main characters are terminally ill children. Photo Exhibition “Dream Bridges” in 2019 and 2020 will tour several Lithuania and Latvian cities. Lively, moving, large-format photos in 2019 will be on view: • Until October 11, 2019 exhibition will be available for viewing by Vilnius residents at Konstitucijos pr. 3. We did not believe that this idea would come true. Angela's answer was affirmative - she agreed to go to Latvia without asking salary for her work. Today, after the first day of photo sessions, we can say that it's much more than just photos. Angela's touch on all of us - children, families, team, community - is immensely touching and significant, ”says Anda Jansone, board chair of the Children's Palliative Care Society in Latvia. The dream of a child facing an incurable disease in more than 600 families in Latvia has disappeared, but instead they have found countless small and large DREAM BRIDGES TO LIVE EVERY DAY. Inspired by these children and their families, we, the Children Palliative Care Society in Latvia have begun the creation of a multifunctional care center called "Bridges of Dreams" to provide a happy, high quality and fulfilling life for terminally ill children More information about the project www.sapnutilti.lv This email address is being protected from spambots.
