ANTEA Formad, the Training and Research Centre of ANTEA Associazione, organized a Conference “CURE PALLIATIVE E HOSPICE: VOCI A CONFRONTO” (Palliative Care and hospice: comparing different voices) on 8 October 2011, to celebrate World Day of Hospice and Palliative Care. The aim of this conference is to raise awareness about the importance to include Palliative Care education and training within undergraduate education programs. Since 2005, the conference has been attended by 1600 students. This 7th edition has been attended by 347 students: - 6 medicine students, - 310 nursing students, - 11 occupational therapy students, - 16 physiotherapy students, - 4 other. The seminar has been based on interactive teaching strategies, such as: - short lectures, - vision of videos, - testimony of health professionals and families involved, - debate and discussion with the students. Specific evaluation questionnaires have been submitted to the participants, to assess the capacity of each teacher to present topics and to involve students and didactic tools used. The result of questionnaires submission was positive, showing a high percentage of students liking teachers’ lectures.
